Time, peace of mind, and sanity – they’re closer than you think!

We got our dog to walk beside us (literally and figuratively) through life’s ups and downs. Sure, we know dogs are dogs, but do they have to bite, jump, bark all the time? Do they have to cause us frustration, worry, or embarrassment? Through our Ready to Relax program, I help families struggling with their dog’s behavior understand and acquire the tools to succeed for life.

What you learn:

  • How to shape your environment for well-behaved dogs WITHOUT training
  • How behavior problems happen (hint: it’s not your fault) and how you can understand your immediate issue and any that might surprise you along the way
  • Simple, fundamental skills to not only accomplish your program goals, but to address new behaviors if they arise
  • How FAST behaviors can happen with an experienced trainer on your side, training the dog for you
  • How to respond confidently to anything life throws at you (and your dog)
  • How one program turns into a lifetime of tools to help you and your dog live your best life together

What you get:

  • 1 Initial consultation with a detailed, thorough written assessment customized to your family’s needs
  • 5 Day training sessions where I help cultivate behaviors for your dog
  • 5 one-on-one sessions where I transfer the day training skills to you and discuss challenges as they arise
  • Personalized e-mail & text support throughout the program for any questions between sessions

Because of the detailed attention required for this program, slots are limited to 2-3 clients per year.

Tuition: $2195

What is Day Training?

The best training is, at its heart, about the relationship between you and your dog. But what if we could give that relationship a jumpstart?

Starting and establishing new behaviors is often the hardest part of dog training. It’s overwhelming, confusing, and can be discouraging when it seems like other people have it easy.

Ever heard of board & train programs? That’s where your dog visits a facility for a certain number of weeks to impart new skills. Day training is board & train without the boarding. It’s also without:

  • the expense of having your pup away from home.
  • the mystery of wondering what’s happening to your dog. While ethical, humane board & train programs exist, there are trainers who will harm your dog in the name of looking skillful.
  • being away from your pup through the week. You might be away at work, but you get to come home to your pet at the end of the day.

With my experience on your side, we can give your whole family the best start possible.

Day training features:

  • Years of experience on your side to establish all kinds of behaviors
  • Essential transfer sessions to pass those skills onto you
  • Flexible scheduling – you don’t even have to be home
  • Starting behaviors more quickly

Who is a good fit for day training:

  • Dogs who are friendly towards strangers or visitors (even if they’re too friendly)
  • Dogs who aren’t distressed when away from their family
  • Families wanting to establish the best behaviors for their dogs and maintain them after the program, but need some help to jumpstart their progress
